Performing Arts Workshops-Summer 2022
with Kristine & Scott DeTurk For 9-13 year olds
Singing: *vocal warm-ups
*individual coaching
*song selection
*group and solo performance
*microphone technique
Movement: *dance, stage combat and movement
as it applies to developing a character
for a play or a skit
Drama: *basic acting exercises
*storytelling and games applied to the
development of a character
*improvisation
*composition and performance of a play ,
scene or monologue
(based on class size and the age and
experience of the participants)
These workshops focus on performance skills and are held :
Mon. - Fri. from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.
They are filled with fun and opportunity for both the experienced and inexperienced student performer. All participants will be given individual attention whether in class or time outside of class. Rehearsal CDs or cloud based downloadable materials will be provided and students will be expected to work outside of class as well. A performance/demonstration will be held for family and friends on the final day of each session. The workshops will be held at our home studio @ 20 Hillview Avenue, San Rafael with final staging rehearsals and performance/demonstrations at:

Session I: June 20 - July 1 (Performance 1:00 pm Friday July 1)
Session II: July 11 - July 22 (Performance 1:00 pm Friday July 22)
The fee for each 2-week workshop is $600
*To reserve a space in the class, please send a $100 deposit
with the printed forms from the enrollment/application page.
** COVID related protocols will be adhered to.
